Problems using the HUD
New users some times can get a bit confused with the use of HUD, read the following instruction, and I hope it will help you.
1. What is HUD? Answer: HUD is the abbreviation for Heads Up Display. You can wear it, but I will not move with your Avatar. Instead, the HUD will attache to your screen, usually at the up left corner by default.
2. Where can I find HUD? Answer: You can visit the Earn2Life office in Second life at: http://slurl.com/secondlife/Vargas/25/239/23 Choose to teleport, and when you arrive at the office, go in, look around, find the HUD. Anyone in the office would be happy to help you finding it.
When you have downloaded and saved HUD to your computer, install it, and now, the E2L HUD will appear in your Inventory under 'my inventory' --> 'Object'. Chosse 'wear'. Now, HUD appears on your screen.
3. I still can not see the HUD? Answer: after choosing 'wear', the HUD should show on the up left corner of your computer screen. If you can not see it, that is because you have chose now to show and HUD attachment. What you can do is go to your menu, choose 'View', scroll down and choose 'show HUD Attachments'. OR, click: 'Alt-Shift-H'.
4. I can not receive the Land mark card? Answer: You should receive a landmark card after accepting the offer. However, you may have muted some of the notice card before (it can be annoying sometimes when they just keep poping up). In this case, go to menu, choose 'View', scroll down and choose 'Mute list'. Click it, you will see a list of muted items. To be safe, just numute all of them unless you are very sure which one you really want to mute. Now, try to take a new offer, and the landmark will show up again.
5. I am not allowed in some region? Answer: Sometimes you may not be able to take some good offers because you are not allowed into that region. The reason is that Second life have a maturity rating system. Such system is aimed to keep the juniors away from adult contents. You can change your maturity rating from your 'preferences' under 'Edit'. At the 'General' tab, you can find the term 'Rating', and 'I want to access content rated:'. Here you need to change your rating to 'PG, Mature and Adult'. However, some of you may not have this option in the dropdown list. In this case, you need to go the second life page at www.secondlife.com. Login, and go to your account. Under your account page, find the option: 'Age verification'. Click this tab, and go to the page to verify your age. Second life will ask you to fill in your personal information and several ways to identify your age. When the verification succeede, you need to restard your Secondlife viewer and go back to your preference editing page. Now you should be able to see the option:'PG, Mature and Adult'. Now, choose this option and try to take some adult content offers, you will not be rejected again.
